General Industry news is taking a back seat for this week, but that doesn't mean the gaming world was any less exciting. We've got a lot of hardware issues this week, actually, from missing PSP Go nubs to limited disc space, to the alarming drop in the numbers of said hardwares, we've got a busy hardware week in our hands.

Continuing their Japan-only Power Pro series is Konami with the release Power Pros Touch into the App Store. The game is the iPhone and iPod Touch adaptation of the Wii and PS2 title, MLB Power Pros, which features goofy cartoon graphics while going for some measure of physical and statistical realism.

If you somehow doubted that the iPhone version of Resident Evil 4 we posted about a couple of days ago was real, well then here you go. Capcom has officially declared it 100% authentic.

Another week full of lawsuits. Poor, beleaguered company Midway came under fire once again, and this time it was from a very unlikely direction: the guy behind the Mortal Kombat movies is suing them in order to "protect his IP rights", which is a better way of saying that he wants to keep milking the MK franchise for as long as possible. Square Enix also got served with a class-action lawsuit for "deceiving" Final Fantasy XI patrons regarding fees. Not everything was bad, though. Grant Imahara, eat your heart out! ...Ok, maybe not, but this could potentially give the MythBusting robotics dude some ideas, at least. Someone's come up with a Kondo KHR-2HV robot which uses an iPod Touch as its face, controller input, and overall processing unit. Check out the video in the full article.

Appbank, a Japanese iPhone site, has managed to take a gameplay vid of Wolfenstein RPG, one of Electronic Arts' current projects for the iPhone. The game was already up in the Japanese App store, but for reasons still unknown, it has been taken down. There is, however, the matter of this gameplay video, which could mean that the game might claw its way back to the Store.

I don't know what's up with the scene now, but whatever it is, am liking it. It's raining news and updates, and thank god they're mostly for good games. Scratch that, I say they're GREAT games. You'd think there'd be a lot more jokes involving the words Touch and Solid in this news, but I leave it to your imagination. Metal Gear Solid Touch is now available for the iPhone, a day earlier than anyone expected. Konami's even released a whole line of new MGS-themed cover jackets - looks like they're only for Japan though.

Remember Seaman on the Dreamcast? It was just as weird as having a fish with a man's face as a pet - but then again, that was the entire point of the game, wasn't it? Yoot Saito, the creator of that game, is bringing the same kind of simulated fun on the iPhone, this time with an ape called Gabo. More info and a gameplay video in the full article.

Looks like Square Enix is jumping on the iPhone bandwagon. The studio will be releasing a new Final Fantasy game called Crystal Defenders on the platform. No, it's not another part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis series - that set has enough as it is.
