Metal Gear Solid series mastermind Hideo Kojima is a self-confessed hardcore Mac fan. Just look at all the product placement in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. After taking his love of Macs forward by making Metal Gear Solid Touch for the iPhone and iPod Touch, Kojima is now taking it one step further.

Following the *ehem* "success" of Metal Gear Solid Touch, Hideo Kojima has announced during GDC that he's making another iPhone game, and he's looking to do something completely "crazy." Oh Kojima, you so cwazee.

Usually, the trend has been to experience a noticeable dip in the amount of news coming out the week before the GDC. However, this year's pre-event week proved to be a rather different one from those I've experienced in the past. Unexpectedly, but fortunately, there were a great deal of updates. It was a busy one, alright, and thank God you stuck with us throughout the week, making it such a blast!

You'd think there'd be a lot more jokes involving the words Touch and Solid in this news, but I leave it to your imagination. Metal Gear Solid Touch is now available for the iPhone, a day earlier than anyone expected. Konami's even released a whole line of new MGS-themed cover jackets - looks like they're only for Japan though.

It would be downright tragic if the last entry to the Metal Gear franchise was Metal Gear Solid Touch. Thankfully enough, Konami's posted a new job listing that says there's a new game in line for the series.
