Nothing like a slew of big names to get the crowd going for ya. Be it in games, apps, or other forms of software, this week's batch has a big name on it. Let's see - Wolfenstein, Dracula, Metallica, Doom, NASA, iTunes, Blackra1n. Wouldn't want to miss those, so read up and stay informed.

id Software has released a major update to their remake of the ever-popular FPS game Wolfenstein 3D Classic for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The update contains tons of new features and additional contents.

We've got the latest chapter in the 8GB iPhone 3GS rumors earlier this week, but it still leaves us with no pertinent info when or if Apple is indeed planning to add to the 32GB and 16GB models of the iPhone 3GS. That may be so, but in the meantime, you can still fill your existing iPhone with the games and apps that we've got covered in this edition of the iPhone Weekend Warrior.

id Software continues its iPhone gaming push with the release of Wolfenstein RPG. The port has once been spotted in the Japanese App Store and has been the subject of a lot of iPhone gaming talk for quite a long time. Oldschool Wolfenstein fans can now rest easy, one trip down to the App Store is all they'll need to get this baby into their iPhone.

To tilt or not to tilt? That is the question that John Carmack wants answered. In his post at the Touch Arcade forums, the id Software dev said that he is considering the removal of the tilt-to-turn option in Doom Classic, which may get in the way of better gameplay. More in the full article.

John Carmack seems to have fallen in love with the iPhone. Speaking to MTV Multiplayer, the id Software co-founder revealed that iPhone and iPod Touch owners can expect an id release every two to three months over the next year.

A progress report from id Software's John Carmack has given out a probable release target for  the App Store launch of Doom Classic, an iPhone and iPod Touch port of the original Doom game. Details after the jump.

Appbank, a Japanese iPhone site, has managed to take a gameplay vid of Wolfenstein RPG, one of Electronic Arts' current projects for the iPhone. The game was already up in the Japanese App store, but for reasons still unknown, it has been taken down. There is, however, the matter of this gameplay video, which could mean that the game might claw its way back to the Store.

This week's iPhone Warrior is gonna be a lot different for two reasons: First is because we have quite a payload of games for you right here; and second is because I'm the one writing it *evil laugh* - Gino's probably lying on the beach completely drunk right now. Wait, that was me two days ago... Anyway, we do have a lot of iPhone games that you might be interested in, and one of 'em even got raps for being racist. There's also a shiny new iPhone in town. How shiny? Try 24-carat shiny! Better be comfy on that chair 'cause you're about to have a good read for the next few minutes - at least I'm hoping that you will.
