c62 - Image 1After having a shacky start, the highly controversial Commodore 64 emulator for the iPhone is now back in the Apple App Store. As some of you may recall, the app was rejected by Apple when it first came out last June due to some licensing issue. Just weeks later, the emulator was resubmitted to the App Store only to be yanked again due to some BASIC interpreter issue. But now it's back!

smartscreen - Image 1Coming straight from their own Twitter page, iPhone Dev Team members wizdaz and MediaPhone have recently announced a brand new application for the iPhone and iPod touch, called SmartScreen. According to the post, this app will allow users the ability to have multiple widgets displayed on the lock screen. More info after the jump.

Manomio's C64 emulator - Image 1The folks at iPhone developer Manomio are feeling pretty damn frustrated right now, and with seemingly good reason. They went through all the trouble to actually get their Commodore 64 emulator legally licensed but it still got rejected from Apple's App Store. It wasn't a question of legality, since Manomio had that covered. According to the rejection email, it's because the app violates an iPhone SDK agreement that a number of apps already on the App Store also supposedly violate.
