id Software has released a major update to their remake of the ever-popular FPS game Wolfenstein 3D Classic for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The update contains tons of new features and additional contents.

Fishlabs had high hopes for the App Store release of Rally Master Pro. It was awarded Best Mobile Game of 2008 by Pocket Gamer, and has since been the subject of talk as far as iPhone racers were concerned. The good news: a lot of people are playing it. The bad news: 95% of those people are playing pirated copies.

iPhone homebrew dev George Hotz (A.K.A. GeoHot) has released a new version of blackra1n, a tool that promises to jailbreak all OS 3.1.2 iPhone and iPod Touch models in a matter of seconds. The latest update fixes a number of issues from the previous release.

NASA has jumped aboard the iPhone bandwagon and has launched their application on the App Store. Featured in the app are mapping softwares that allow you to see exactly where the space stations are located.

For this offering of our weekly recap, we see a resurgence of all sorts in the gaming industry. Finally we see a PS3 kicking ass in the sales charts, finally we see another big homebrew breakthrough for the PSP, and finally, it looks like things are definitely looking up for the videogame world in general. It is certainly looking like it's gonna be a happy holidays we're having this year.

More games trickled into the App Store this week, including the much-awaited iPhone and iPod Touch iterations of two big names: Earthworm Jim and Rock Band. More is expected to follow with the announcements of Ghosts 'N Goblins and Garters & Ghouls. But while games are packing into the App Store, one game gets an unfortunate boot out of the App Store, and it might not be your typical infringement case.

Codeminion got an unpleasant surprise recently when their loop-rolling puzzle game, StoneLoops! of Jurassica, was pulled from the App Store. Why? Mumbo Jumbo filed a complaint to the App Store for infringing the copyright to their game Luxor, and even stealing their source code. Codeminion, however, can't believe the complaint since similar games released long before Luxor have not said anything.
