iPhone - Image 1The beta 2 version of iPhone OS 3.0 may have only been released to the developers, but that doesn't mean our busy hackers aren't privy to the release as well. To top things off, they've even released a jailbreak, what, what!

The jailbreak can only be done on the following:
  • iPhone 3.0 Beta 2
  • iPhone 3G 3.0 beta 2
  • iPod Touch 1st Gen beta 3.0
This unofficial jailbreak actually comes from a Russian hacker going by the name Vortex, rather than the usual iPhone Dev-Team. Don't worry, the Dev-Team approves.

Also note that part of the jailbreaking process here will require you to go through RipDev's Icy (see below) after installation.
