The iPhone's getting some retro-lovin along with all the heavy-hitting games that's lined up. It's good old alien-hating Galaga, which is getting a remix specially for this release.

The iPhone just hit the motherload - even Sony's getting a bite of the Apple. Sony has announced that several of its film and television properties will be getting video game adaptations for the iPhone, including Ghostbusters, Angels & Demons, and James Bond.

Skype is now live for the iPhone in the US! But probably best not to grab the app from the iTunes store yet though. Reports have come in that it crashes units not on OS 3.0 Beta trying to connect over 3G.

Following the *ehem* "success" of Metal Gear Solid Touch, Hideo Kojima has announced during GDC that he's making another iPhone game, and he's looking to do something completely "crazy." Oh Kojima, you so cwazee.

Whoa. After weeks of so little news for the iPhone, we got a whole slew of news this week. We got homebrew that reaches up to here (no, over here), and we got a whole bunch of new games announced for the platform, including Mega Man, Red Alert, and even Assassin's Creed.

Can't wait for iPhone 3.0? Well I can't help you with that, here's something that might make you feel a little better. It's the 3.0 Beta Icons set, which will give your iPhone's SMS, Phone, and iPod icons look like the ones that come with 3.0. Oooooh time warp. Sorta.

Electronics Arts has joined the iPhone wagon, promising to deliver games from some of its biggest franchises, not least of which is Red Alert. At GDC, a number of other games were announced for the platform.

The best things in life are free, and allows you to battle Adolf Hitler in a robot suit. I'm talking about the classic 1992 game Wolfenstein 3D now available for the iPhone, ported by none other than id Software's John Carmack himself.

Mudslinging between Sony and Microsoft seems to be playing second fiddle these days to mudslinging between the PSP and the iPhone. The war between the two devices continues on during GDC, where ngmoco's co-founder Neil Young says that Apple's brainchild is "better than the DS, better than the PSP." Oh look he took a hit at Nintendo too. Pretty bold for the leader of a relatively new games company.

There's something hypnotizing about falling sand. It's also hypnotizing to pour oil on it and watch it burn. But since you can't do that in real life (so don't get any ideas, unless you're a glass blower) then this app's for you. It's called A Falling Sand Game, and in case it wasn't obvious enough, it's a game about falling sand.
