Words fail me. I have nothing but respect for Hideo Kojima, but Metal Gear Solid Touch is looking... pretty crappy. And I say that with love. But you can judge for yourselves.
Kojima did say that he just wanted to make "a simple touch-screen shooting game. This game really is nothing more than an entrance for us. I'd like people unfamiliar with MGS to play it." So let's be fair about this. It's not up to snuff for a Metal Gear game, but for an introductory casual game on a mobile phone, it looks... ok? I guess? Sure. Related Articles:

There goes the 360 rumor. Everyone thought that that green power was 360. Apparently not.

Ok, that was friggin' hilarious. It looks all blocky and stiff, like a dressed up NES game.

Well, from the comments posted below, I guess I will continue to not waste my money on cell phone games. If I want portable games, I already own a DS and a PSP, which do much better all around, but mostly from the standpoint of the controls. Neither of which is large enough to deter me from bringing it with either.

Judging by the above comments, it looks as if no one here really plays mobile phone games. Having played a number of them myself, I can tell you guys that this game is looking very good graphically.

This game looks awsome. I mean sure its not the Metal Gear youd expect, but neither was Metal Gear Acid and that was still an enjoyable game. Where Acid was a card based take on the MG franchise, Metal Gear "i" (official name?) is a shooter based take on the franchise. I think theyre doing an excellent job considering this is a mobile game BASED on MGS4

» Wow, looking nice! :D
I wonder what's gonna be the price.
10$ I'll buy, more I'll surely buy anyway, but 19$ is my maximum limit.
I hope it's gonna be a good game, and I hope it'll have story like in other MGS games.
I suppose it's not completly random that apple annonced they'll open a new "premium games" section soon. I suppose it's gonna pop with this game, but if MGST is premium I gess it'll cost more than 10$...
Anyway, it's cool that games are starting to pop, I mean, real games, for the iphone/touch.
I'm buying the iphone friday and I already downloaded like 40 apps from the itunes store (free apps, 2 costed 1$, lol). And now real games are popping, it's great. It's just sad they'll pop another iphone in june and mine will look like crap compared even if it's new, sigh. That's the problem with apple, lol. Still, if they want to keep the app store boom, they'll have to limit the new iphone so nobody will make apps only for the new one.
Anyway, good news for MGST, and
@ptspyder: mobile games looks like ***** compared to this one, lol. And I suppose you never played NES, because NES games were not looking like this one at all. Even snes looked ugly compared to this one. And by the way, it's a PHONE GAME! It's not supposed to look like a PC/PS3/X360 game, lol. You're really special...

ptspyder, sure if you want high end portable games The Nintendo DS and PSP is definitly the route to go. However, having said that the PSP is large and clunky (even by Slims standard) and it lacks a large library of great games. While the DS is smaller and has a large library of games, I just dont find myself whipping it out in the line at the bank or on the bus. Not to mention that its still a hassle to carry. An iPhone is a neccessity just in that its a phone, and there games are nothing to shy away from. Ive played Star Wars, GTA, Silent Hill, Monopoly and Tetris just to name a few and there all fun and easy ont the eyes. I own all 3, and I enjoy both DS and Iphone. The PSP sadly rest on a shelf gathering dust.
