There's something hypnotizing about falling sand. It's also hypnotizing to pour oil on it and watch it burn. But since you can't do that in real life (so don't get any ideas, unless you're a glass blower) then this app's for you. It's called A Falling Sand Game, and in case it wasn't obvious enough, it's a game about falling sand.

iPhone and iPod Touch owners running 2.x.x firmwares are finally being given the chance to play OpenTTD thanks to uberdev ZodTTD.

OpenTTD is a tycoon game based on Transport Tycoon Deluxe's source code. If you've played SimCity, this game won't feel that unfamiliar.

ZodTTD, developer of quake4iphone, has sent out word that he's just updated his homebrew game to v0.9.0. According to him, this release is much more stable than the previous releases, and offers better controls, and of course, better play in general.

It has come to ZodTTD's attention that some changes and bugfixes are in order for Doom on iPhone and iPod Touch. As such, he's made the necessary changes, the full list of which you can find in the full article.

What's more addicting than popping bubble wrap? Popping bugs, apparently. Enter this trippy homebrew game for the iPhone. Bugz was created by Didev Studios and is already available on the App Store. The game's objective is simple: just touch the screen to pop a required amount of bugs to eliminate. Another major franchise is jumping on board the iPhone wagon: SimCity. Not only can you play god and torment your citizens with a tornado out of nowhere, but now you can do it on the go too! The game will come out on the App store sometime this December.
